Carers/Family Support - How we help

• Counselling
• Carers Support Group
• Holistic Therapies

Counselling
If you are a partner, relative or friend of someone who is experiencing alcohol or drug related problems you may find that caring for them can be confusing, frustrating and sometimes lonely. ASCA's counselling service provides carers with expert advice, information and counselling support to enable carers to best cope with someone who has an alcohol or drug problem. Counselling is confidential and is free to any carer who lives in Richmond or Kingston

Carers Support Group
The group provides weekly support for carers of people with alcohol or drug problems and is facilitated by the Carer's counsellor. The purpose of the group is to help members to share experiences and learn from each other. The group is open to carers only and will focus on:
• Coping with living with someone with an alcohol or drug problem
• Setting boundaries and keeping to them
• Planning how to get support
