| What is alcohol and drug counselling?
Alcohol and Drug Counselling aims to increase insight into alcohol problems,
identify goals and empower you to make your own choices about what you
do.Counselling can help you to see your problems more clearly and help
to reduce confusion.
Counselling takes place within a safe, confidential,
non-judgemental and non-discriminatory environment.
Your counsellor is there to support you in creating goals for yourself
and to support you in working towards these goals.
Alcohol and drug Counselling can include advice however it is not about
telling you what to do. Alcohol and drug Counselling takes place regularly (usually weekly)
and is reviewed after 8-10 weeks.
